Welcome to the Caistor LIVES responders website.
Caistor is part of 86 active groups mobilized by East Midlands Ambulance Service (EMAS), who attend life threatening calls (999) prior to the arrival of an ambulance. Our Caistor group is part of L.I.V.E.S, Lincolnshire Integrated Voluntary Emergency Services.
We are all trained in basic life support CPR and in the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
We also have five members trained as Intermediate Responders who are called to RTC, Trauma, Paediatric.
Once the paramedics arrive on scene, we their to assist if needed.
We have attended over 600 calls and now average over 200 per year.
Visitors to date
We are totally self funded and therefore rely on fundraising and kind donations from local people, business and organisations to help purchase equipment and keep the scheme and group operational in Caistor and the surrounding areas.
